Freelance WordPress Plugin Developer (Remote / Work from Home)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance WordPress Plugin Developer with extensive experience in PHP and MySQL to independently develop, customize, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins. This is a remote, work-from-home position ideal for experienced developers who can deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and have proven examples of past plugin projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins based on client requirements.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing WordPress plugins for performance, security, and compatibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented PHP and MySQL code.
• Integrate plugins with third-party APIs, payment gateways, or custom systems as needed.
• Ensure plugins follow WordPress coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and project managers on plugin-related projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance for plugin deployment and maintenance.
• Showcase previous plugin development projects as part of the portfolio.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in WordPress plugin development.
• Expert-level knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and WordPress APIs.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, filters, and custom post types.
• Ability to work independently in a freelance remote environment.
• Experience integrating plugins with external APIs and third-party services.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code optimization skills.
• A portfolio of completed WordPress plugin projects is required.
